SNL crys copyright

Due to YouTube's popularity, NBC has required YouTube to remove Clips of "Saturday Night Live". YouTube hosted some very popular clips from SNL, including "Lazy Sunday."

Although NBC, doesn't like it, they are going to have to start offering some more friendly options to online viewers. ABC streams "Lost", for free. Step up to the plate NBC.

Will Ferrell guest apperance

Will Ferrell will make a guest apperance this week's show of Saturday Night Live. After a bomby season opener, it looks like the producers decided to bring back some big-guns, and I couldn't be happier.

"30 Rock" doesn't Rock

"30 Rock" is filled with insider jokes that would appeal to the co-workers at the studio, and NBC executives. Unfortunately these jokes do not do it for the general viewers. The show also pokes fun of SNL, making references to the show. Lorne Michaels is the producer of the show.

SNL Inspires two new shows

Two new shows have debuted, inspired by SNL, and with familiar faces.

"30 Rock" features Tina Fey, who is the boss of a comedy show, much similar to Saturday Night Live. Tracy Morgan also is on the show, as well as Alec Baldwin. Not a lot of creativity, was put into the show if you ask me. This type of show is similar to what "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is, in my opinion. Although I highly doubt it will be as funny as CYE, starting Larry David, the creator of Seinfeld.

"Studio 60 on the sunset strip" is the second show, inspired by SNL. The TV show is run by writer Matt Albie (Matthew Perry) and producer Danny Tripp (Bradley Whitford).

NBC looks pretty desperate with this move, airing two shows so familiar in nature. We will see how it turns out for them.

SNL Anniversary

Saturday Night Live made its premiere on October 11th, 1975. Today celebrates their 31st year. SNL, in its 32nd season has had its up and downs. Happy birthday SNL!

October Hosts

The SNL October lineup brings some good talent to the show, featuring:
  • Jaime Pressly from "My Name is Earl"
  • John C. Reilly from "Talladega Nights"
  • Hugh Laurie from "House"
Musical guests will include:

  • Corinne Bailey Rae
  • My Chemcial Romance
  • Beck
I'm very excited about Jaime Pressly and Beck, those will be some good shows to see, even if the sketches are not on. This will be Beck's sixth performance on Saturday Night Live, and I can never get enough. Party on!

Season Pemiere - A Killer

The polls are in from this weekend's Season premiere, and NBC's Saturday Night Live bombed, big time. Dane Cook, was not funny, or entertaining. Although he hosted the season opener, Cook was hardly in the show at all. And the times that he was in the show, it was well, a killer. The TSA and Hugo Chavez sketches were the best sketches this past weekend. Cook's portrayal as Saddam was terrible.

With some heavy cast changes, it will be interesting to see how the new season fairs, hell it can only go up from here -- lets hope!
